Give a Cheer
Mixed media layout. This is the final page for my daughter's europe trip album. I really liked how this turned out. I used clear gesso on the paper. I created a mat background by using mixed media paper, collage paper on top with clear gesso to adhere and seal, paper paste through a stencil, colored with lindy's magicals, stamped with black archival ink to create more texture, and inked the edges. Then I added more paper paste via the stencil to the main page background and built up the color with lindy's magicals: grease lighting. The entire background was then stamped with various stamps to create more texture. I stamped some vellum and used distress embossing glaze, and fussy cut out. Added distress ink to an ephemera element and stamped a sentiment on it. At the end, I painted the hearts with watered down distress crayon. I added thread behind the flowers and cheese cloth behind the mat for contrast. I also added a piece of white ribbon that was stained on the edge with some lindy's magicals. Two chipboard flourishes were painted with white gesso to which two colors of prima waxes were added. Lastly, I added splatters with distress picket fence spray and a Holtz splatter brush.
