We moved to King's Sutton 11 years ago. It is a pretty little village right in the middle of England. We affectionately call it "Middle Earth". One of the best views are these thatched cottages with the church spire in the background. The village name first appears in the Doomsday Book in 1086, when most of the village belonged to the King, hence King's Sutton.
The way of writing the name is disputed even to this day. The argument centers around the apostrophe, so a compromise was reached: When you enter the village from the main road, the road sign welcomes you to King's Sutton. If you approach via the back road, the sign reads: Kings Sutton.

After reading SaraHunz's comment and advice regarding my white pen disaster with a previous LO (Weird Jellyfish) I gave it another go and hey presto! It worked beautifully, so thank you Sarah!!
