Another one for DS's kayak trip - using all scraps.
Journaling: Regardless, we loaded up, checked the radio and went over our safety procedures before hitting what turned out to be some decent chop, otherwise known during this and future trips as “the soup”. Where we took off from is the where the Bellingham Channel and Guemes Channel empty into Rosario Strait an extremely busy shipping channel. Fortunately for us we were avoiding Rosario but the confluence of these channels, the boat traffic waves and missing of currents made what should have been a minor crossing into more laborious chore. Never did any of us feel in danger but we did feel exhausted with the 2 strokes forward, 1 stroke backwards rhythm we were keeping.
