The idea for these cards came from a card Beesmom posted on Splitcoaststampers on December 5, 2016. It reminded me of two cards I had made long ago and never liked well enough to give away. I took those cards apart and used the focal image for the background on these cards. Much better!
CARD: 4 ¼ x 5 ½ inches International Paper Accent Opaque Digital 120-lb. cardstock (card base and die-cut on one card) Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110-lb (embossed background and die-cut on one card) Sizzix/Stampin' Up! Subtle Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder (143706)
FOCAL IMAGE: Memory Box Grand Stag Oval Frame die (3 layers) Gina K. Designs Contact Adhesive StampPloration's CutPlorations Stitched Snow Hills die (I trimmed off the stitched part)
BACKGROUND: I made two cards with this background, but I never liked the cards enough to give them to anyone. I love the way they turned out as a background for this die-cut.
I originally made this background ten years ago for Jennifer McGuire's Holiday Thinking Inking Class on Two Peas in a Bucket. It involved Block stamping and Generation Stamping. The stamp was inked and then misted with water before stamping.
