Hi crafters! Today I have a very special reason to be back…. I’m so happy! Simple Vintage Ancestry collection has been a huge surprise because it made me think about all my family members that aren’t here with me. I felt so happy to have the chance to remember them, to look for all those pictures from my childhood and beyond. And all those feelings inspired me to create a heart shape album… a very lovely album for my favorite family photos.

The base of my album is a cutting file from JenniferMaker. It’s a pop up heart, a lovely one! And I added two things: a big heart for the cover and a smaller one for the inside. As I have the ScanNCut cutting machine, I used the Canvas to adapt the design and prepared the new cutting files. My final design is about 7” w x 6 1/2” h.

For the structure of the album we need 2 pieces of cardboard for covers and 4 papers from the basic kit. Every page of the album is a pop heart of 4 hearts. And use 2 papers from the collection kit to cover both pieces of cardboard.

For the cover:

To decorate my cover I used one of the frames from the collection. I made an easy shaker with glitter. You just have to choose one paper from the collection and add a piece of acetate. Put the glitter between them. Other details are: a lovely lace ribbon, the new layered stickers, on flower die cuts and some foam and chipboard stickers.

To close the album:

You just will need a beautiful ribbon. I used a white one.

For the interior:

Once you have your 4 pop up hearts it’s better to decorate them before gluing them together.

To decorate every heart I used a smaller heart cut file. I cut in half two of the hearts and add sewing details to every heart…. I love to do it! Use all you have to decorate… die cuts, stickers, chipboards, washi tapes… When you are finished, you can glue all hearts together. After that, glue both covers to your structure.

This is a lovely album… I hope you like this idea!

Have a great week and see you next time!
