This is my friend Judy's horse Sam. It's going in a frame as a thank you gift. Judy loaned me her BRAND NEW horse trailer while mine was in the shop getting the tack room door repaired.

She loaned me her BRAND NEW trailer for FOUR MONTHS because getting my trailer door repaired turned out to be a Keystone Cops episode.

I haul a Featherlite trailer, which doesn't use "standard size" parts. Any replacements have to be ordered from a Featherlite dealer. Which my trailer repair guy did. Except the guy didn't order them. Three weeks into it, I call asking about my trailer - Dennis says, "waiting on the guy to send me the parts ... I can't get him on the phone and he's not returning my calls."

I get the guys number, call him, he says, "I'm waiting on Dennis to give me the VIN number ..." which is a load of horse manure because Dennis has been doing trailer repair for years and I KNOW he gave this guy the VIN number...

I call Dennis back and tell him, "Look, I'll just call the dealer I got the trailer from and have them order the door. I'll pay for it, and have it shipped to you." Ok. So I call Stacie. Who says, "yeah, we can get it ordered..." And I wait another three weeks at which point I hear from Dennis who says, "Have you heard anything about your parts?" Um.... no, but they're supposed to have been ordered and shipped to you. Well, Covid has slowed shipping so maybe you should just check and see.

So I call Stacie ... who checks and it turns out the guy she turned the order form over to didn't follow up and ORDER the parts. She's hopping mad and says she'll get it straightened out and get right back to me.

Ok. So the company is going to expidite the manufacturing and the expidite the shipping ...

Except Dennis is going to be closed over Christmas for two weeks.... and guess what day the parts get to the loading dock to ship out? Yep. NO, don't SEND them NOW. Wait two weeks until after the first of the year.

And then there's a mix up and they don't go out until .... after the big snow and then they finally get there and it takes Dennis and his team less than 3 hours to get the door in and fixed.

::sigh::

And all this time, I'm hauling my horses in what is now Judy's NO LONGER BRAND NEW TRAILER because I've been hauling MY horses in it for almost four months.

This little page --- the absolutely very LEAST I could do.
