I love this photo of my dad with his mom (my grandma!). In going through various old albums, based on what they are wearing, this was taken before she left for her short honeymoon. (She was a war widow and met my grandpa - my dad's stepdad - via correspondence while he was still in the service.) Dad can still remember spending the week or so with our Aunt Claire (well, his aunt, my great-aunt).
