I followed Jennifer McGuire and cut pieces from both felt and paper. I used 4-5 of each layer, with half being felt and half paper.

Topper - 2 small starbursts from Tim Holtz starburst emboss/cut folder
Garland - paper bead spiral from trimmings die set that coordinates with this set. I spiraled it down the tree, then bent it around branches at different points and added a drop of glue.
Copper balls - I had no-hole pearls in off white that I colored with a Tim Holtz alloy alcohol ink called Mined. I use glitter glue to a branch and was surprised they stuck quickly and stayed.
Poinsettias - I used the smallest two layers from an old Stampin Up succulent die to cut from felt. I glued the layers together, then put a large drop of glue for the center. I dropped the flower upside down into a small cup of gold micro beads and left it there a second or two. I flipped it over and nudged the beads into a flower center as needed. I found it easiest at this point to hot glue a thin floral wire to the back to help the flower stay put when I tucked it into the tree
