Your custom frames are so pretty! I love how you got the diary image from the internet. I love how the photos are set upon such and interesting background.
Oh this is fabulous and a wonderful tribute to a classy lady. I don't even know how you did the background but it is creative and amazing. What you did to the frame was just the cherry on top!!!
I love heritage photos and layouts and this one is no exception! Love your technique work and even if you don't like the result of the script masking, I think it adds to the vintage charm! Lovely work, Petra!!
This MM layout is all about my favourite aunt, Herta. I started from scratch, creating the background and floral elements using MM cardstock and rice papers. I also printed the photos on ordinary white printer paper and then turned them into vellum. The smaller of the two frames is custom made, to match the ornate Dusty Attic frame. Both are heat embossed with texture embossing powder.
I used my favourite lace stencil again and also one from Stamperia. I do not like the result (the script above the smaller frame), the stencil is far to flimsy to cope with the texture paste. The diary is an altered image from the Internet. The chipboard hearts were coloured using a crimson watercolour marker, then glazed with glossy accents. The title piece has been hinged for hidden journaling.
Hearts - chipboard, heart attack border #2 by The Dusty Attic Sentiments - The Dusty Attic, Wordpl@y#3, black Embossing powder - Seth Apter, baked textures Blizzard Rice papers, all ITD
