A daughter is... peaches and cream, sugar and spice, a wonderful dream of everything nice.

This is our precious daughter Sarah way back in 1998. This was her 3rd grade picture. Next Saturday, she will be turning 32... where have the years gone??? The dress she's wearing was her Easter dress that I made for her that year. The sleeves had a slight scallop along the bottom edge. The skirt was full, with a wide band that tied in a big bow in the back. I shadow-worked large butterflies on the scalloped collar and the lace was attached by hand. And yes, she did wear this to school for the photo. She was never the rough and tumble tomboy type of girl, always girly-girly and very careful about her clothes and hair. Still is that way... LOL :)

The pps are some old K & Company papers. The butterflies are punched (MS punch Royal Butterfly and three Classic Butterfly punches. The blue border is punched with a Stampin' Up border punch. The pink border was cut with small scallop decorative scissors. The triple mats on the photo were also cut with large scallop decorative scissors. The "A Daughter is..." is a clear plastic cut out and the rest of the quote is vellum. I added lots of doodles with a dark brown zig pen. Lastly, I added three vintage style buttons threaded on a piece of pink ribbon. Thanks so much for looking :)
