Give a Cheer
Hi, Simple Stories Friends It's Conny here, and today I am sharing my first project with Simple Stories. I'm excited to be here and thank you so much for having me. You can usually find me @thedayilylifeofcreativity on Instagram. For my first post I'm sharing a mini album with the Safe Travels Collections and 6 by 8 snap Binder Album in the color green. I decided to flip the album horizontally for a different look, flipping the pages up.
Let's get started!
With this mini-album, you are going to need pretty much everything that comes with this collection. I couldn't stop myself-everything is too cute!
On the cover page, I started by using the stencil - directions arrow with a hybrid ink. I wanted it to look a little faded from one end to the other to play with the eyes, fun effect. After I used a chipboard frame, the cardstock stickers, Chipboard stickers, and the stickers from the sticker book at the edge of the frame, I also added some adhesive foam for layering. Part of the title is from the cut apart element sheets (Weakened Vibes). I finished the cover page by adding string and the suitcases with a couple of the decorative brads.
Flipping the album to Page 1 to 7-I used 3x4/4x6inches pocket pages and, the Kraft dividers create layouts on them by using cut apart Element from the 12 by 12 kit -Showing the TRAVEL MUST-HAVES, cute elements like bits and pieces, enamel dots, cardstock, puffy, and foam stickers. Even the washi strips got to play in this mini-album.
The main focus is to have fun with the products. DO NOT be afraid to scrap-lift someone else's idea because at the end of it- it will turn out completely different - trust me, put your twist to it.
