This was my Uncle Lester in his strawberry patch back around 1980 in Plant City, Florida. I wish my berries looked like that!

The black borders were cut with zig zag scissors. The yellow/white border is a bit of trim from the fabric store. The edges of the photo and sanded. Then I matted on red and raised it with pop dots. The word "strawberry" was made by hand cutting the berries from red cs. Then I added the black letters using stamps (Hero Arts), added black dots with a pen, and white around the edges with a signo pen. The green tops were made by punching small suns and cutting them down to fit. Other lettering is done with stickers. The flowers were punched from white cs, edged with the yellow pen and the centers colored in with yellow and detailed with a black pen. The larger leaves were punched using MS Rose punch and adding details with the evergreen pen. The smaller leaves were punched using the Fiskars border leaf punch and adding details with the evergreen pen. The stems were cut free hand. Lastly, I added a bit of pen stitching on the yellow strip. Thanks so much for stopping by :)
