Though I am not completely isolating myself, I am being very selective with regards to where I go and with whom I’m willing to see in person. Florence is one of those 3 or 4 close friends besides family. Though I grumbled about the early hours of this morning out to see the cherry blossoms, it was so refreshing. To be outside, taking a leisurely walk (mostly mask-free), and just appreciating the fact that COVID did not stop the flowers from blooming or the spectacular colors of the sun rising.
(And with few people flocking the Basin, the public bathroom was relatively clean! Adding to the list of things to be appreciative of despite the terrible-ness of the pandemic.)
