Mixed media 8x8 canvas for my daughter's friend who is graduating from high school this spring. This is for her dorm room as inspiration and a reminder to believe in yourself on those hard days you lose faith in yourself. Her Mom is a good friend of mine who scrapbooks as well. Anyway, I used rice paper for the first time on this canvas. I love it and glued it down with clear gesso. I added stamping with archival ink and some AALL and Create stamps and Holtz stamps. The circles were cut out with watercolor paper and layered with patterned paper from an old collection from Basic Grey I've had in my stash as well as those flowers. I actually think I purchased the flowers to match that paper pack. I did some stamping on the circles and distressed the edges with ink. I added white gesso to blend everything and white splatters. I also added shading around the circle to make them stand out with a brown Stabilo pencil. There is also some stenciling with texture paste. Overall, I am in love with how this one turned out!!!! It has that WOW factor or me.
