Journaling - The University of Texas McDonald Observatory occupies two peaks in the Davis Mountains. The white domes of the Otto Strove and Harlan J Smith Telescopes sits atop Mount Locke along with several smaller telescopes. The silver dome of the Hobby-Eberly Telescope sits atop Mount Fowlkes.
