2 great things happened at the weekend:
I received my bargain Sizzix 3D embossing folders and I finally got a result with an embossing technique.

I was so impressed by Sara's (SaraHunz) gorgeous Brocade Card and the technique she used to achieve that striking look. I had tried it before but somehow the results were messy and very patchy.

Not so this time, using this 3D embossing folder and distress oxide inks. I really like this result, it reminds me of the Wedgewood patterns on vases.

I also used VB's iridescent glaze, watered it down a little and brushed it over the raised image. It looks lovely! I left this card blank and am in the process of creating a few more, using different colours. I can use them for many occasions and jazz them up accordingly.

The swirls on the background were created using a 10.5 x 15 cm stencil from FAFAme (www.fafame.com)
