This was done for Scraplift a Day in Feb, LO #1 and Go Crazy with Embellishments Challenges (1 cardstock florish, 6 flowers, 3 brads, 40 rhinestones/jewels = 50 embellishments). I embellished her with all kinds of jewels since that seemed appropriate for a Queen.

Yesterday, 2/4/07, San Francisco was honored to have the Queen Mary 2 be the 2nd stop on her world tour, and the only West Coast stop. And the SF Bay Area pulled out all the stops to welcome her. I did not get to go see her arrive, but have many friends who did and everyone saws she is awesome. So I decided to take my favorite picture from the web and do a LO of this historic moment. The journaling at the top says: "QUEEN’S GRAND ENTRANCE TO BAY / THE LARGEST SHIP EVER TO SAIL TO SAN FRANCISCO COMES CALLING / THE SCENE ASHORE: Beaches, bridges, hills become vista points for thousands as the Queen Mary 2 sailed into San Francisco Bay, people lined the rails of the Golden Gate Bridge, and the sound of the crowds onshore could be heard on the big ship, drifting over the water. Chronicle photo by Lea Suzuki". I handwrote at the bottom "Sailed under Golden Gate at 345pm on 2/4/07. Welcome QM2."
