Love how this turned out - and the illusion you created with the tone-on-tone stamping and stamping on the frame. Love that couples stamp (I thought it was a SU set so ran t SU!) The bits of bling add just enough sparkle and that photo is just wonderful!
Thank you so much for your lovely comments, they are very much appreciated!
@AuntyT - I started with a piece of card and once I stamped the flower border all around it, I cut out the still plain middle. I then fussy cut close to the stamped flowers so I was left with a thin frame with a hole in the middle. I also snipped away a few white areas on the outside of the frame. It sounds complicated but it really is not. So you start off with a solid piece of cardstock and end up with a sort of skeleton frame.
Seems that every layout you do, I don't just look at an move on - I just keep looking at them, noticing more detail and more points of interest and things you have done that make your layouts so special. The photo is lovely and you have done an amazing job of showcasing it!
The inspiration for this LO was provided by AdeleR and her recent designs: Favorite Daylily and Spring.
I loved how she showcased just one gorgeous photo. I tried to do this here, but I also wanted to experiment with a stamped border and just one main colour.
The background paper comes from VB's Let's Wander collection. I cut a piece of Bazzill white card and placed it on top, using repositionable sticky tape. Using my stamp platform, the focal stamp from the Crafter's Companion "Peony Blooms" stamp set and distress oxide ink, I stamped around the border of the white cardstock. The stamp covered some of the white and some of the red background. I then heat-embossed the images with clear Cosmic Shimmer. After fussy-cutting the edges to achieve a frame of sorts, I used foam squares to stick it down. I kept a white border around the photo and stuck it into the frame's centre. I used old Kaisercraft rub-ons for the title. The couple stamp has been watercoloured. A few sprinkled bits of bling complete the design.
