I'm waiting on my dad to remind me where these photos were taken; I'm 70% sure we were still in Japan at this time but we could have been on our cross-country trek when we were moving back to the States. (We drove from Seattle to Niagara Falls to Easthampton (MA) - with camping along the way.) That's my mom pretending she enjoyed these hikes!

UPDATE: I was right! This was a vacation trip we took while we still lived in Japan - this the forest path that leads up to the Hakone Shrine.
