I had been wanting to use my grapevine set since I got it, but I was kicking around an idea combining it into a Christmas card, even though the set is more fall oriented. When I saw this paper, I knew it was what I wanted to use. I could have left off the poinsettia and used the card for fall or birthday or other occasion card, too.

I stamped the grapevine directly onto the pattern paper, then used the grapevine dies to cut the vine overlay and the leaves, and used my poinsettia dies from last year to add a small poinsettia, too.

I swore I wasn't going to do a lot of die cutting or embossing for my batch Christmas cards this year, but after putting this card together, I knew it was the one. At least I eliminated the embossing. Maybe I'll get them all done before November...

I also had some inspiration from a quote I saw on a charity page I follow (Big Cat Rescue): "We must find time to stop and thank those who make a difference in our lives. - John F. Kennedy" It fit so perfectly with the sentiments I chose for this card.

In the past, I've always set my batch holiday cards to be "holiday" cards vs Christmas cards, because I do not know what everyone celebrates, but I decided I'm happy with this Christmas card, celebrating others through my celebration. I realized I would be happy to receive cards from my friends from what they may celebrate, too, because in the end, we are celebrating each other, with each other, no matter our beliefs.

The supplies for this card are all Stampin' Up! this time: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Crumb Cake, white, and gold foil cardstock; Painted Christmas paper pack; Forever Grapevine and Itty Bitty Christmas stamp sets; Grapevine, Stitched Nested Labels, and Poinsettia dies; Early Espresso, Soft Suede, and Evening Evergreen inks; Real Red Rhinestones.
