A friend gave me a Spiced Mug Mat, so I made this card for her. I don't know that I have mentioned before, but I have started putting my messages to the recipient on Post-it type notes. Then, they can remove the message form the inside of the card, and pass the card on to someone else. I include a second envelope for re-gifting.
The gift had a dragonfly on it. (See the second photo.) I used the tissue paper from the gift to make the rectangular section for the card. The tissue paper was decoupaged onto some plain white card stock and cut to size. The beige panel was stamped with various images from several stamp sets. Dragonfly was die cut (from an alcohol ink panel), embossed, and the body colored with alcohol marker. The flowers were die cut, inked and put together with brads. Thank you, Ro, for the brads. The background paper in some old Core'dinations that I torn the edges to show the green layer. The "Thanks" was stamped with black ink, but my husband didn't like that it didn't show up well. So, I stamped and heat embossed it on another piece which was layered over the first piece. I like it much better, and so did he. The raffia was from an old Christmas gift package. The two envelopes were stamped along the edge.
