I love roaming through cemeteries and stumbling across treasures like this. Really special to see pieces of history that make you want to learn more! Great job!
It is hard for me to choose papers and things for layouts in cemeteries or with monuments too. But this worked out well. Such information information. Now I will have to research more about Sam Houston! You have piqued my curiousity.
I never knew an inverted ax symbolized "Peace, the battle is over." How interesting. I always learn something from your layouts! You go to so many museums and historical places! Awesome monument with him on the horse!
At Oakwood Cemetery July 2018 This is the large granite monument to Sam Houston who is buried here. Wasn't sure what to use for this 2 pager. I used some gray cs and a marble pp (Asuka). A few Texas stickers and some stars and enamel dots (Altenew).
