This card was inspired by Sam Calcott of Mixed Up Craft, her video tutorial can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcw5Q220n-U I think this is the thickest card I have ever made (lots and lots of layers), and it will be mailed in a bubble envelope. Edit to add, I have completed a PDF tutorial for how I made my card (with Sam's ok), free to access and share: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1faBKItiv9g7GO1pJk06QfgBDu_pmyZwr/view?usp=sharing

I chose this 4-page bookbinding card style for a birthday card for a young relative who is a single mom, and who went through a tough breakup with her child's father. She suffered some mental abuse, though I hope no physical abuse. She also lost three good friends over the past year (Covid and other illness). This card serves as an encouragement card as well as a birthday card, to let her know I'm here for her. She's spunky and fun and determined to overcome, though, and I know she will appreciate the humor of the sentiment on this one.

The "Birthday Fairy" main sentiment (which I cut apart into multiple pieces instead of one stamp for this card) is from Crackerbox and Suzy, as is the "Crabby Cat" (black cat). #crackerboxstamps

The fairy is a Lavinia stamp called "Faith."

The rest is Stampin' Up!: Stamp sets Through It Together, Beauty of Tomorrow, Sunny Sentiments, and Delicate Dahlias; cardstocks Early Espresso, Sahara Sand, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, and Pumpkin Pie; Be Dazzling and Harvest Meadow Designer Series Papers and Vellum; Meadow, Harvest, Beautiful Leaves, and Forever Flourishing die sets; Classic Label Punch (retired), Early Espresso ink, Early Espresso faux suede ribbon, and Champagne Rhinestones.
