Since the Olympics began on my birthday I knew I wanted to use them as the them for this layout. I sliced circles to create the "Olympic" flag on one page, slicing them so they would overlap. 2 "gold medals" are the same size with one having my age sliced from it. The smallest "gold medal" was cut in half so it would bridge the pages. Ribbon was used as the ribbons for the "medals" and an American flag was cut using cricut. Pearl gems were used for the stars on the flag. Both the title and journaling were written directly on the background paper. Had I realized that using a caligraphy pen would cause the letters to bleed into each other I'd have spaced them a little more (title). A blue box was drawn around the journaling to help complete it and make it stand out more.
