Collette and I met 42(!) years ago (good grief - I’ve never done the math before!) when our families were living overseas in Japan. Her dad was with some big American company and mine was with the State Department (Embassy post). When her family returned to the States, they lived in California; we came back to Virginia and we just stayed in touch the old fashioned way (pen pals). After college, I returned to Virginia and she moved to DC for grad school. We had lost touch a bit I think. T hen, weirdly, we figured out we lived within 10 miles of each other. And we still do!
