Give a Cheer
Take the time….to talk with strangers. The journaling on the pull out tag tells the story of how I was dining alone at the bar and enjoying a rum drink. The owner was telling me about the rum, which was locally made, when the founder of the distillery came in with her sister. We had a wonderful time chatting - especially when another B&B guest I had met the night and another local joined us. The next day I went to St. Michael to check out the distiller and walked out with enough rum & other spirits to last a year.
The stenciled wall was a happy mistake. While working on my MM canvas piece, I spilled a little gesso and didn’t want to waste it so I spread on the first piece of paper I could find on my desk. Then I had a bit of that weird colored texture paste (it was supposed to be orange not salmon) so I spread that on too. I then went blind and just started pasting flowers - I don’t know what I was thinking. Apparently I was just working on each section of this page without looking at the whole. Or maybe I had one too many sips of the rum.
