I love beaches and lighthouses - so a beach AND a lighthouse was just serendipity. As I was driving up to Oxford, MD, for my mini-vacay, I saw signs for Sandy Point Beach and Park. So I pulled off the road, Googled it and read that there was also a historic lighthouse you could view from the shore. I had to stop, right?

The journaling includes two photos of the lighthouse - one from 1888 and one from 1961. The facts read;
- Built in 1883 at the mouth of the Magothy River to mark the dangerous Sandy Point shoal.
- The lighthouse is a 3-story brick masonry dwelling.
- The first 2 levels were used as living quarters; the 3rd level is the watch level.

Happy to be using one of my favorite SU set - High Tide!
