This was a layout I did for the September 2021 colorkitz for Shimmerz Paints.
I basically divided my mixed media into 2 halves. For the top section I wanted to create mountains and for the bottom a body of water. The colors in the color kit were absolutely perfect for this! For the mountain area I used Vibez in ocean water with a bit of Coloringz in Ahoy Matey. I also used the Inklingz in pistachio. For my water area I used a Paige Evans cut file as a stencil with some texture paste to add texture and dimension with the fish. And to add color I used mostly Creameez in Witches Blue and again the Coloringz in Ahoy Matey. I then used a small paintbrush to add silver highlights to all the textured fish. Once dry I did some machine stitched waves. I added some hand stitched clouds in silver. Some sequins add just the right amount of life to the waves.
I used a mountain range cut file and some distress ink to create the "mountains" in the top half.
