This card is for my new neighbour, Jen. She has a twin sister, so I made another card (which I post afterwards), using similar techniques.
For this one, I dry embossed a partial image, keeping the card fixed to the debossing side (raised image area) of my embossing folder. Then I ran some distress oxide ink over the embossing side and embossed the card again. I did this 3 times to build up the colours by using shades that got darker. I painted the leaves and berries by mixing iridescent glaze with distress oxide inks to achieve a pale and muted effect. The sentiment is heat embossed with gold embossing powder and the gold coloured gems complete the design.
