When my father was in the navy during the 60s, he served in the Mediterranean. The photo on the left with the Acropolis in the background was my grandma's favorite photo of him and she always displayed it prominently. When I visited Athens, I showed our tour guide the photo and he took me to almost the same spot where my father posed for his picture. Turns out, dad was in Greece during the summer of 1966 - I visited Greece in July 2016...exactly 50 years later. The three patches on the page are actual patches my dad collected while visiting Greece while on duty.
I coated the left side of the layout with a Mod Podge mixed with a little brown ink to give it a sepia tint.
