For November Baker's Dozen Challenge
I really wanted to use my butterfly photo for this challenge and when I saw that we had to use a photo of people/person we're thankful for I knew this would be perfect.
My Mom passed away in September of 2010, she LOVED butterflies, a lot of her jewelry had butterflies on it so my sister and I wore butterfly brooches in her honor at her funeral. That Sept. and Oct. I had so many butterflies in my garden - Red Admiral, Milbert's Tortoiseshell and Painted Lady, it was as if my Mother was coming to visit every time I saw one. I took quite a few photos of them that fall but this is my favorite!
Butterflies (on border): StampCraft stamp inked with Delta Rubber Stampede red
Butterfly die-cut (top left): K & Company
Other butterflies: fussy cut from Recollections Butterfly Collage
Border: Cork ribbon
Washi Tape (for labels and sub-title): handmade from wrapping paper
Buttons, tissue paper, journal piece (note paper); from my stash
Chipboard Letters: AC Thickers "Prancer" inked with Zig writer
Metallic heart: unknown (I've had it forever)
I used adhesive 3-D foam squares to pop up some of the elements.
