WOW! You nailed this one. LOVE the colorful paper choice. It reminds me when we rode camels in Mexico. They are the most comfortable mode of transportation. :)
What a beautiful layout, so colorful and such great photos. It made me remember that my fil went to the Holy Land and rode a camel, in fact there were photos now I wonder where or who may have them. He brought back some wooden, small camels for our boys which we still have. As I said such a wonderful page!!!!!!
Perfect collection for these photos! Love the camels! I love the way you did the flags at the top! At first I though you had actually used black string but then I read the description.
Guess this was Dorothy's way of "riding on the wild side" LOL! Love the banners across the top and the punched edge on the striped paper. All the embellishments are spot on. and you've added a lot of "little" details that add so much! Fab layout!
This is my mother-in-law, Dorothy, back in the 1980's. She would have been around her late '50's. Journaling reads: In the 1980's, Ma & Papa Skip visited the Holy Land with a group from their church led by Pastor Tommy Reeves. One of the highlights of their trip was Ma getting to ride a camel. The bottom photo shows her getting on the camel, with Papa Skip close by to assist. I wish I could have been there to see it in person. She looks like she enjoyed it.
For this page, I used Photoplay's Paprika collection. The side border strip was punched with Martha Stewart's Embossing Zig Zag punch. The flags across the top were cut from pp, then attached to the page. Then I punched small dots of different colors and attached them between the triangles. Next, I doodled little black tassels at the bottom point of the triangles and lastly, I added micro black brads at the tops of the tassels. I did a little black doodling on some of the stickers and added a few more black brads to the page. I added a white doodled border to the green tag with a Signo pen. The rest of the page is just layered stickers and embellies from the set. Thanks so much for stopping by :)
