I finally got around to scrapping my dog bite from last year...almost a year later.
Journaling reads:
"DOG BITES MAIL CARRIER
Thursday. March 02. 2006.
Around noon today, letter carrier Kristina Hall was bitten by a cockapoo on North D Street when it seized the opportunity to run past its owner through a slightly open door. Though able to limp away from the incident, Ms. Hall went to the hospital to get the bloody wound cleaned and treated. She was shaken and suffered a mild asthma attack, but was told no stitches would be needed.
One nurse that treated her declared, “That is the worst dog bite I have ever seen.”
When asked if there was anything she wanted to say, Ms.Hall declared, “Please let all dog owners who think that their dogs aren’t capable of biting someone know that, if their dogs have teeth, they are capable.”
Postnote: Ms. Hall is left with a scar from the incident. It is visible as a dark line that runs horizontally along the outer side of her right leg."

I also wrote on the mat explaining that the top two photos were taken the day I was bitten, after I was treated. The bottom two pictures were taken a couple days later, after swelling and bruising kicked into overdrive. Also, I couldn't help myself...I had to choose a purple and red color scheme to reflect the colors of my wound!
