Ive been ecstatic about the new PInkfresh Studios solid foil plate for doing reverse foiling. It works well if you have a sentiment with a die. You foil it first and then use the waste to foil it again and cut it out with the die. It helps to foil the remnant on glossy cardstock and I have added two cardstock shims to make it work and it is oh so gorgeous. I took it further by using the solid foil plate to do solid panels of matching foil and used them as borders. In this case, I was able to cut the center out of the border (which gets covered up by the patterned paper so that I could make a circular border too. This is such a game changer and the reverse foiling is so beautiful in real life. You can do a bunch of sentiments at once in all different colours of foil. Just set them aside on the scrap cardstock youve foiled them on to keep the remains safe once youve got the shims perfected and then put your solid plate on and reverse foil them all at once. Then you can die cut them and have a whole bunch of reverse foiled sentiments ready for card making. I tend to do a bunch of matching solid panels too. Ive just started with this so I have only done one set of cards so far. I will post them next. The poinsettia is cut from red and dark green felt with the Impression Obsession - Small Poinsettia die.
