A mixed media card using up scraps.

I stencilled the star bursts with paste, then sprinkled on glitter embossing powder. After the background was dry I heat embossed it to achieve the raised glitter effect. I very lightly brushed the background with distress oxide ink Antique Linen all over, then took a second brush and inked Fossilised Amber just around the star bursts.

I die cut the balloon shapes from a scrap piece of Bristol Smooth paper and coloured each one with distress oxide inks. The bottom strip of chevron paper is also an offcut, the edges are inked in Fossilized Amber. I stamped and heat embossed the German sentiment ("Birthday Wishes From Us") and doodled the balloon string with a black pen.
