My partner was Cheryl (CDJohnson) - her only request was nothing goth. I knew from the get-go that I wanted to put the snow globe on a canvas. It took me a minute but when I saw the wood snowflakes, it got me going.

First, painted the snowflakes with white paint and silver paint. Then I used the packaging method and smushed on watered down distress oxide iced spruce and speckled egg inks. I tinted glass bead gel with whatever was left over on the packaging and used my favorite snowflake stencil. I had some of the gel left on my palette knife so I spread it on the snowflakes. I figured if I hated it, I would just them over and paint plain.

The snow globe was harder - I didnt want to ruin it! I put it all together then stared at it for a week. After using the sparkly paper (and how others were filling their globes), I decked on glass pearls, beads and silver or diamond chunky glass glitter and a few RB snowflakes and those cute girls, one inside and one outside. More glitter on the outside, 3 G45 die cuts, Tim Holtz tiny branches die cuts and the pretty prima flowers that are too 3D for my photo albums. Its like they were waiting patiently for this opportunity!
