LOADS of work on this layout! Very retro looking! Love the die cut stars...the lined background on the beige paper, the hand cut title letters...WOW! You really outdid yourself on this one! (You gotta love that double knit fabric! LOL!)
Journaling reads: This photo of me was taken at the beginning of my 11th grade school year. I was 15 years old going on 30 by the looks of the photo. I remember thinking that I was so stylish that day glowing with 70s vibes. This lovely, double-knit jacket that I am sporting was the creation of my own two hands. I wore a pair of high-waisted, big-legged, navy slacks (also double knit and made by me). And, I tucked a pale, sheer, cream colored scarf around the neckline to complete my ensemble. Of all the fashion fads from the 70s, I think double-knit was probably the most hideous. On the plus side, it was stretchy, wrinkle-free and non-fray. On the minus side it was unpleasantly hot and heavy feeling, but mostly, it was just ugly! That being said, I had a LOT of clothing that I had made from it: jackets, pants, dresses, skirts, even an evening gown and matching jacket!!! Thankfully, it was a passing craze which, hopefully, will never return.

The top and bottom borders were created using a Thickers Alphabet Alignment Guide. I drew the curves then cut them by hand. The circles were punched and then I added pen stitching with either a Signo or a Zig pen. The stars were made with the Cuttlebug using Tim Holtz-Sizzix - Atomic Elements. The lines in the bg and the dots around the star tips were added using a Signo and Zig pen. The title letters were cut by hand. Lastly, I added a few brads. Thanks so much for stopping by :)
