Complicated experience with the frame - I thought I had a full 12x12 when I started gutting it. Came to realize I had cut a strip off already, this is a very old sheet, btw. I ended up piecing 1" strips on top of the light background.
Still. I was happy to use another previously cut from sheet of G45 for the center horizontal pierce.
I used a Fiskars circle template to trace the circle pattern, then went over it with a Gold Shadow pen.
I followed a Becky Fleck sketch
