Kreig and I had this one magical day in Acapulco, the first time we visited there together. We just seemed to have the right taxi driver and everything about that day was wonderful. And to make it even better I have a pendant Kreig had made for me that will always remind me. It is my most treasured possession. The journaling says: There was a day Kreig and I spent in Acapulco/April 2002. We arrived via Princess Cruise.
Found a taxi driver to show us the sites. He took us to the marketplace, helped me find the
perfect leather purse to wear around my waist. Then took us to a relative’s silver shop, some-
thing neither of us were interested in. But, we went & looked. They said they could design any-
thing. Kreig hand drew the design that is on our sailboat’s mainsail. We designed the logo
together for Nehalennia-3 dolphins in a circle with a 45 inside. Our driver whisked us off to
Boca Chica, a place I had seen 15 years before and wanted to see again. It was still lovely but
much more crpwded. Next we went to see the cliff divers. He found us chairs in a tiny bit of shade
and brought us cold cokes. The divers were so young & amazing. Then, we found our way back
to the silver shop, & found a magnificent silver pendent on a lovely chain. It was perfect. And it
was a perfect day in Acapulco, the day I received my most treasured personal possession.
hand drawn by my husband & hand crafted at an obscure silver shop on a side street of Acapulco..
