This page has a crazy-quilt style paper pieced background, made from a variety of patternd papers and cardstock. I chose this technique to imitate Picasso's cubist style of painting. I used embroidery floss and various stitching designs on the paper seams. The large orange-red piece at bottom right is a pocket, sewn onto the page. Tucked inside is a brochure from the museum! The pocket is embellished with dots, drawn with a border template and black and white gel pens. "au Musee Picasso" was hand-drawn with a silver Sakura gelly roll pen.
