This is STUNNING! It is delicate, vintage, romantic and shabby all rolled into one. All the time and efforts you put into this recycled canvas really paid off. Brava! Into my faves.
Amazingly perfect! Thanks for sharing your process with us. MM has always been daunting to me. I do a little here and there, but nothing like this. You are an inspiration!
I'm in love. I read your post and MM never does what you think it will. It's almost like it has a mind of its own. I especially love the paint style on the resin pieces. It's all so gorgeous. Welcome to MM!
This is stunning! And to think it was your first piece? One would never know! I love the background color, the textures and all the flowers with the lace and a the little add-ones like the butterfly, the little pink gem, it’s just lovely! Congratulations on a job well done!
Absolutely stunning!!!!! The colors, the background stenciling, the lace and layers of molds, flowers, jewels and pearls all so brilliantly colored to embellish your beautiful image are just amazing. And to think this was your first!!!! You should be floating on clouds proud of yourself...
Oh my Laura, This is just divine and to think it was your FIRST canvas is just mind boggling! The basckground color you mixed is so stunning, the textures are rich, the design is beautiful and beautifully balanced too. You should be so proud of this piece as I know it was quite the learning experience for you. You succeeded in creating a one of a kind masterpiece that is sure to be a treasured family heirloom!
You have definitely created a beautiful piece. It's hard to believe this was your first canvas. Congrats on overcoming all the obstacles and sticking with it. Your creativity and artistry certainly shines here.
My first canvas! I wanted to use the word happiness on it but just could not get it to fit. I LOVE flowers, gardens and the image of the girl in frame is one of my favs! These are all the things I love on one piece! It was not an easy process and many times I wanted to throw in the towel, but thanks to my sweet friends Dawna and Tena, I was able to finally do this one. It is more of a structured canvas and not what I intended but soon realized that is the concept of mm. So next time I will have fun and do a free form canvas! My DD had a set of 6 painted canvases that she no longer wanted so I saved them from the trash and re-cycled one. All are 9.5" x 12". I already had the mm products for several years but never opened them. It took me a good month to do this project and had Dawna not pushed for more from me I dont think it would have ever been finished or elevated itself into this! I mixed paints to get just the right bg color, and inks, sprays and waxes to get the right colors for the resin pieces. I learned a lot and made many mistakes along the way. I watched it go from one style and keep developing and changing into this. I think I used my entire mm stash! The lace and Amazing Resin mix were SS gifts from Jess, all flowers a gift from Terry, the Stamperia lattice chipboard is from Carri and I cut it into 3 pieces to use on project, Resin molds were last years Christmas gifts from my DD and DGS, So TY to all my dear sweet friends and family! See I do use what yall gift me! The tiny seed beads in Champagne color and antique bronze glass beads and other metals used were from my stash. Below is a list of RB products I used as well. TFL!
