Such a beautiful page of Aunt Tori! I love the pretty flowers and the stenciling and inking and torn edges. All so pretty :) BTW, I don't have a copy of that pic, could you send me one? Thanks :)
Gorgeously vintage; I just love the background that you've created with the stencils! Your inked/torn layered edge and those fussy cut flowers are perfect!!!
Photo of my Mama's oldest sister. Not sure of the year it was taken...maybe in the early 60s? I used P13 Awakening papers for this layout. I sponged ink through two different stencils on the background paper. I torn one edge and inked it with Distress Oxide Vintage Photo ink. Flowers are all fussy cut from one of the papers in the collection. The lace die down the side of the photo is a Sizzix die. I added some brown and gold nuvo drops scattered around. The "born" tag was created in the Silhouette program and cut out with the cameo. Title work was also cut with the cameo. The journaling was computer generated and pulls out from behind the photo and reads:
This is my Aunt Tori, my Mama's oldest sister. I remember going to visit her in Bainbridge, Georgia when I was a little girl. I remember that she was an excellent seamstress. She was married to Gordon Cloud on July 4, 1935, and they had 3 children - Junellen (1937) Orena (1941) and Kenneth (1944). Aunt Tori's husband, Gordon, was killed on July 31, 1946. I didn't really know her two girls, but her son, Kenneth became a preacher and is still preaching today (April 2022). Aunt Tori passed away on May 16, 1987 at the age of 84.
