Love the title and the photo. Our uncles didn't change too much in looks over the years... I love the smile on Uncle Monroe. Uncle Rufus looks like he's not sure if he should smile or not. And Uncle William looks so solemn; I don't recall him smiling that much, but Aunt Gladys smiled all the time! The leaves are so pretty and the perfect touch of color here. Great pps and design :)
I just inherited a bunch of vintage photos of my family and you have given me so much inspiration and ideas on what to do with them. This is so well done. Okay if Iift some ideas from you?
A gorgeous family layout! Love the mix of colors, your distressing and your small details (drops & triangles) which adds so much focus to the photo. Love every inch!
Photo of 3 of my Mama's brothers. My best guess is that the photo was taken in the early 1950s. The word strip down the center is a VERY old piece of 7 Gypsies paper torn and inked. The kraft paper with words and the the one with leaves is Bazzill Basics Garden Vines. I stamped some "grunge" dots and smudges with Distress Oxide Vintage photo. The quote "A brother is a gift to the heart, and a friend to the spirit" was printed on kraft card stock and cut to 1/4 inch wide. The leaves are a die from TH - Botanicals. I cut them from green paper then added a little highlights with a darker green Copic marker. Title work was designed in the Silhouette Program and cut with the Cameo 4 times and layered for dimension. I also added some Nuvo Crystal glaze to the title. The circles were punched with a 1 1/4 inch circle punch. I added a few gold and green nuvo drops around the page.
