Just beautiful - I love everything about this - the soft colors, the pretty flowers, the hearts and nuvo dots, the pretty borders... But especially that beautiful photo of Aunt Catherine :)
Photo of my Aunt Catherine (my Mama's older sister). My best guess is that the photo was made around 1937 when she was about 20 years old. I used a solid light pink background paper. Flower strip across the middle was fussy cut from P13 Let Your Creativity Bloom collection. The lacy scallops under the photo were cut with a TH die. The photo was double matted with pink and then some of the green that was used on the bottom of the layout. Hearts were punched with a MS punch and coated with Crystal glaze. I used some gold nuvo drops scattered around the flowers and some clear nuvo drops on the flower centers. Title work was designed in the Silhouette program and cut out with the Cameo (4 times) and layered for dimension. I also added some Crystal Glaze on top of the title work for even more dimension and a little shine. I drew solid black lines around the pink background and the little zigzags are some REALLY old DaisyD tape runner. Journaling was computer generated and is tucked behind the photo and reads:
Aunt Catherine was the 7th child in a family of 10 children. She was born in Jacksonville, Georgia on December 18, 1917. She married Charles Lester Thomasson on June 9, 1940 in Plant City, Florida. They had two children (my cousins) Charlotte and Harold. I always enjoyed spending time with my Aunt Catherine. She was a very special lady!
