BEAUTIFUL!!! Love the Fleurista pps - I have some of that somewhere - Just perfect with this pic. Love the cb pieces and the twine - pretty flowers, too. That lace edge is absolutely gorgeous - I need to get those dies. I can't believe that's Mama in the bobby socks :)
Photo of my Mama and some of her siblings. Not sure of the year but might have been 1937-38. I used some REALLY old papers for this layout. This paper is Cosmo Cricket - Fleurista. I used some thin jute twine in two places on the layout. I also made twine bows. On the top bow I added some chipboard leaves (from the dollar store) and a wooden button. The lacy scallop across the top edge was die cut from some of the paper with a TH crochet die (I'm not if you can still get it but it's an awesome die!)The title work is also chipboard from the dollar store. The flowers and leaves were stamped on some of the paper from the collection with Altenew's Garden Treasure stamps and cut out with the matching dies. The butterfly is fussy cut from Mintay's wings book. The tiny puffy hearts are from Michaels. I added lots of gold nuvo drops around the layout as well as one gold strip of paper across the top under the lace border. No real journaling, just the computer generated strip under the title work with the names on it.
