Our family heritage is part "Gypsy" and I love Stevie Nicks - so I combined the two and costumed her up and drug my daughter into a photo shoot. This photo was one of my favorites for her expression - but i wanted it BIG and almost black and white. So I filtered the photo and printed it on 11x17 copy paper.

Next I cut her out of the background photo and decopauged it onto the background paper. I already made her hat flowers and added Idea-ology gears to it before i took the picture of her in it - so I thought let's add more on top to give the page dimension here. I used the Tim Holtz "Doily" embossing folder for laced corners (to go with the lyrics in the title) and I added some purple and pink watercolor ink by Crafter's Companion to the embossing folder as I ran it through to match the background paper and then grundged it up a bit with some gold ink. I also added some extra gold paint splotches to the background paper but tried to keep it subtle. I made a pocket with the lace embossing background for a Journaling tag on the page. The tag was made from a piece from the Idea-ology "Urban Layers" set that i added "12" to - because that is my daughter's age in this photo (see separate picture of tag front). I added some actual lace and a resin butterfly on top of the tag from Crafter's Companion. On the back of the tag is my Journaling and the year. On top of the laced pocket is bits from Idea-ology Gauge Dials and Urban Layers - along with some Idea-ology clock hands, hardware heads, key and gears. And the words are an Idea-ology older Halloween chipboard for "The Gypsy". I used old retired Idea-ology "label letters" for the other words. The page title font is Tim Holtz Sizzix Tiny Type. Lace across the bottom, the background papers, and hummingbirds are all from Crafter's Companion. I cut out the hummingbirds from a paper pad and made some of them 3D by doing a 2nd set of wings so they look like they are flying.

All products but the flowers are from either Tim Holtz or Crafter's Companion. Flowers on the page are from Prima - some colored purple to match with Distress Ink Spray.
