Hi There! Cutting up embellishments can make them just what you need for a scrapbook layout.
For this layout I cut up paper, but I have also cut up stickers, chipboard, and die cuts to transform a non-useful item into one that is ideal.
Why do I cut up embellishments? Well, sometimes they are too large. For example, the Pack Lighter square was too large for the spot, but by cutting off the bottom its perfect and I have another embellishment to use on a different page.
Other times there is part of the embellishment that just doesnt work with my layout. For example, the trees work great, but the image between them didnt. By cutting off the trees I have something usable, and another embellishment for later.
Scrapbook embellishments can get expensive, so making the most of them by cutting them to fit your needs is a great idea.
