I LOVE the Sea and go as often as I can! I always collect Sea shells, sand, sea glass, etc. while walking along the beaches. Since I have accumulated quite a few I thought it was time to make something with them. I did however buy the inner and outer border shells to give it a nice clean edge around the others to keep the shape of the frame. After they set I coated them all with a layer of Glossy Accents to help bind them and give them the clear glaze you see. I tried my hardest to not make the frame too frou frou but as you can see that did not work out so well, but hubby still loves it and was excited to see this photo finally taking center stage. I used several Reneabouquets new items from her "By the Sea" collection and as much as I hated to alter any of them, I did have to cut down the words. But I saved the seagulls and placed them on the photo. I will list all her products I used on this project below. The metals I used are from my stash and have a personal symbolism, the compass for finding my True North, the Anchor because he grounds me, and the telescope to open my eyes to these simple moments together! The photo was taken on Navarre Beach, Florida in 2013. My hubby has this cute smirky smile in the photo that I love because his eyes always smile at the same time. A wonderful moment to Remember! TFL!
