This turned out beautifully. Now I'm going to be looking at my coloring books to see if there is something I need to use. The muted colors are perfect for this photo.
I dont say this often about my own LOs, but i like how this turned out. The photo was printed (its a copy of the original, which needs to be restored) almost a year ago. Last week I was feeling uninspired so I made a few bases for future LOs, using up larger scraps. I had a mini-tantrum when I couldnt find my bamboo stamp or die so I leafed through my coloring book and cut out the bamboo from a panda page. I like the soft edges created by tearing the mulberry paper (I used a paintbrush to wet the edges before pulling the fibers). (The gold kanji (character) says Love.)
About the photo. My mom has so few family photos (most were destroyed by a house fire) and fewer pictures of her whole family. (After her mother died, her brother lived with her father and she and her sister lived with her aunt and uncle. This photo was probably taken before she was sent to the mountains during the war (for safety).
