This card came about as a series of lucky coincidences. I wanted a birdhouse themed card for a bird-loving friend who has several birdhouses in her back garden. I was searching the internet for ideas and came across this cute die set. I was inspired by the example card that was shown with the set. First bit of luck was it's super cheap price on an international website. I used a different cover die from the example and changed the color of the card base. That was another lucky bit... a friend gave me a stack of heavy cream cardstock she no longer needed. I chose bits of scrap to cut all the bits and pieces. The next bit of luck came when I got the banner stamp as a freebie gift from Scrapbook.com. It was perfect for this card! I found that Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink in my stash was a nearly perfect match for the little bird. All in all, it seemed like this card was meant to be!
